Source: Alabama Official and Statistical Register, 1911, page 100 Legislative Department ALLEN KENT MERRILL, of Eufaula, Barbour county, Ala. was born March 26, 1885 at Eufaula, Barbour county, Ala.; and is the son of Allen Hunter and Tade Sims (Bray) Merrill, both of Eufaula, Ala.; and the grandson of Allen Kent and Elizabeth (Hunter) Merrill, and William Hoadley and Mary (Sims) Bray, all of Eufaula, Ala. Mrs. Bray is still (1911) living in Eufaula, and is the daughter of Gen. John L. Hunter. Allen Kent Merrill was educated in the schools of Eufaula, and graduated at the University of Alabama, A.B. 1905, LL. B. 1907; is a practising lawyer; a Democrat; a member of the P.E. Church; a Mason; and Elk; and is not married.
