Thanks a million Homer. I doubt if I will ever know much more about William M. this side of eternity. There are some relatives in Birmingham but I have not been able to get hold of them. Miriam Mercer is buried in Birmingham also with the two youngest boys and their families. I do know that Mathew Walter Gilmore was a brother to my Willliam M. He made it through the war and settled in the Enterprise area. Regards, John
