    3. Bonnie, Amen! I second that! I have tried on five different trips to Barbour to locate three of the unnamed cemeteries on the AL Dept of Transportation map. I did not find any of them! I believe Bonnie, through all her hard work, has located two of them for me, and I look forward to the early winter when I go can down and find them for myself based on her excellent directions. I even stopped and asked neighbors about a certain cemetery that is apparently in the middle of a plowed field. No one knew anything. Odds are those markers have been dug up, plowed over, vandalized, etc. The end result is that they are lost forever. They could have well been my lost Charles and Elizabeth "Betsy" (nee HAGLER) LONG, early settlers of Barbour County. Some of the cemeteries are well maintained. Most of my paternal family/extended family is buried at Pea River, and it is well maintained. However, even it needs constant attention from family members. Terri
