    3. I think I might have eliminated most of the AL CSA units as a possibility for Charles E. THOMAS, son of Morton THOMAS, who was an early settler of Barbour County, AL and later moved to LA. There are two other Charles E. THOMAS possibilities listed in the CSA index: THOMAS, Charles E. LA 9th Inf Co F THOMAS, Charles E. MS MS 1st Lt. Arty Co G. There is a web page on the LA 9th Inf Co F at: http://tcc230.tripod.com/9thlainf/Page_9x.html Co F described at: http://tcc230.tripod.com/9thlainf/Page_16x.html THOMAS, Charles E., age 25, resident of Mansfield, LA, private, Wounded in Action 4 May 1863, Fredericksburg, Retired due to wounds. Could this be the son of Morton THOMAS? Anyone have easy access to LA CSA service/pension records? Would be happy to trade for AL CSA service/pension records. Thanks, Terri
