Jr. Co L of the 15th Ala was mustered at Perote, then Pike, now Bullock County Mar 15, 1862 under the command of Capt (Dr.) Robert H. Hill; Capt Hill was killed at the battle of Cross Keys, Va. less than three months later; called "The Pike Sharpshooters" the company joined the regiment at Brandy Station, Va. later in March and served with the regiment until paroled in April 1865 at Appomattox, Va.
