The paragraph below contains a very important sentence which I've copied below for point of discussion - I added the words in brackets for clarity. > Among those unmarked graves [at Warr Hill Cemetery] is probably John >Warr and Nancy Ann Bass, the parents of Sylvester. As a descendant and long time researcher of the John WARR family, I have not seen the proof of the maiden name of Nancy, John's wife. As far as I've been able to determine, Winfred Horne of Clayton, (Barbour Co), AL speculated many years ago that her maiden name was BASS. However, all of the work I've seen that he did always has a question mark by the name BASS. In my own research I've been able to prove add'l info on the WARR family but proof of Nancy's maiden name has remained a stumbling block for me. I've long suspected the answer might lie in some unpublished family document and am very excited to see that her maiden name has been proven. Please share the proof. I have posted this to the list because I know there are others who are interested in this also. Thanks.
