Mr. Richard Bishop, about 60 years old, of Spring Hill in Barbour County, (Ala.) died Sunday • He was a’ brother to the late Bo].and Bishop. Mrs. W. P. Wilkereon died at Midway, (Ala.) after a long illness and was buried today. Mr. Joseph S. Powell, aged 76, died at his home near Hurts- boro, (Ala.) on Monday. He has two living children, Mr. Sid Powell and Mrs. S. T. Margart. Mrs. Junius Plewellen, daughter of Capt. John H. Bass, died at her home at Orange Lake, Pla. last Friday. Deceased was raised at Glennville, Ala. Mrs. E. W. Hoquemore, age 77, of Howe, (Barbour Co.) died yesterday. She was the mother of Mr. J. W. Hoquemore, Mrs. G. Stovall and Mrs. T. H. Freeman and grandmother of Mr. Orbie Spurlock. Burial at Howe. Thurs. June 18, 1891 Mrs. Bradley, relict of Henry Bradley, died at her home in Clayton last Sunday with Cholera morbus. She leaves five children. Mrs • Jennie Davis Reed died recently at her home in Atlanta. She was the youngest daughter of Benjamin . B. Davis, of Eufaula. Mrs. Reed had been married eighteen months. Mrs. J. B. Mainor died at her home near Cuthbert, Ga., from pneumonia on Monday. Burial at Sheliman, (Ga.). Cuthbert (Ga.) Leader. Mrs. Margaret Wood, age 60, died at the old homestead in Quitman County, seven miles east of Georgetown, (Ga.) She had suffered with consumption. She was burled at the family burial grounds. Thurs. Beale, brother-in-law to Mr. H. S. Eoddenberl of Eufaula, died in Nashville, Term., on July 17th. He leaves a wife. Mr. W. C. Espy, of Columbia, (Ala.) died recently. I am researching a JOHNSON line from Barbour and Pike Counties - my great-great-great-uncle Thomas Jefferson JOHNSON married Mary Jane HENDERSON. He was born in Barbour County, she was born in Pike. They lived in Pike until his death in 1899. They had Charlie Co., b. 1890, Dock H., b. 1/1892, Nellie J., b. 1/1894 and Thomas J., b. 3/1896. She had a brother David who lived in Victoria, Coffee Co., AL That's where she moved after her first husband's death. She then married William H. WILLIAMS. Any connection with your HENDERSON line? Pam, according to my records, Sable (Sarah M) Cox married James Samuel Henderson abt 1839. He was born abt 1820 GA and died 3/1897 - died in home of son in Mt Andrew. Bur in Mt Andrew? Frances S Butts married (1) John Crocker and (2) Willim F (T?) Wood. Frances had a daughter Lucinda (Lou) Crocker and 4 children by Wm Wood. Sable's parents Edward and Nancy Cox were my GGG GP.
