Autauga Genealogical Society Date: Sunday, February 18 Time: 2 p.m. Location: Chapman Hall, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, downtown Prattville Program: "A Visit with Mark Twain" by Dr. John VanValkenburg. This will be a wonderful visit with one of the world's most entertaining lecturers and authors. Mark Twain (Samuel Clements) was read in both Europe and Canada. At one point he was classified as the first world celebrity. This presentation will lead us through various time periods of his life. Dr. VanValkenburg will captivate us with the life and times of the Mississippi River. "Mark Twain", said Ernest Hemmingway, "changed the literature of the world through his folk reflections of people he knew through his life's journey. His ability to put fiction in story form made him the most widely read author of his day." Visitors are always welcome to attend the meetings.
