    3. To reply to the now voluminous Durden/Pickett posts - Keep coming! I think that perhaps you have not met Golsons because many of them moved out to Utah. They were Mormons. James Black, a descendant of that clan, was a recorder for the Mormon Libaries and went all over the world copying records. He wrote the Golson Genealogy which may be seen at a Mormon Library in your area. (Will take a while for copy to arrive in your area library) It contains a lot of information about many connecting families in Autauga Co. I believe Picketts are mentioned. I have a copy of the diaries of Martin F. Stoudenmire of Autauga Co.(unindexed) He was a Mormon and speaks of the Golsons in the religion and meetings in Mormon homes. Mentions names of many other Autauga Co. Mormons. He also speaks of the migration of the Golsons to Utah. Until I read these diaries, I was unaware of the Mormon presence in Autauga Co.
