    1. [ALAUTAUG-L] Old Kingston
    2. Hey Dave, That was very interesting. I am white and I agree with you, you are right, there is a lot of interesting facts about Autauga Genealogy. I have met several people who were descended from old Autauga Co. families and I have heard a lot of stories of how in one family or family line there are Black, White, and Native Americans in it, or a mixture of all of the above. I think that a heap of old time Southern White families have a lot of Native American and Black blood in them and don't evenn know it. You can see it in some of them. By the way, I think those relatives of yours that are very light complected and have nothing to do with their grandmother are sorry for being that way. Take care, DE ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, September 23, 2002 7:46 PM Subject: Old Kingston Grave sites > I am amazed how a look at geneology came bring history to bear. I am David Butler Jr and my family is from autauga county. I am Afro-American and many of my family are buried in Old Kingston cemetary. My great grandma Lou was a Golson. My aunt and uncle married Deramuses also my stepmother's mother was adopted by Chamblisses. My grandma Lou Golson had cousins who were very light complected and have nothing to do with her.Autauga County is very interesting it has one of the best geneology sites in the country. I am working on the Motley-Butler-Nunn geneology and it takes a lot of time and effort. Yours truly,Dave Butler >
