"Just to find one man's flaked stone is enough to encourage us for days untold . . . To know that this weapon, point or tool may have been fashioned by a man whose identity is still unknown." From "Proclaiming a Bit of the Past" by Dr. John VanValkenburg. Dr. VanValkenburg has written numerous articles on the American Indian. He and his wife, Joyce, started the Indian and Sea Museum in Orange Beach, Ala. They now reside in Prattville. He will show and explain various American Indian artifacts and their relationship to Indian custom and culture. Visitors are always welcome to attend the meetings.
