Its recorded that she was born January 1850 and lived to be 106 years old. Charity had a brother named Ellis and a sister named Abbey. Charity was from the Butler Plantation and there is information about her in the African American Museum in Detroit. It is recorded that Mr. Pierce Butler was one of the wealthiest plantation owner in the United States.
