    3. I believe that the only way to reply to something in the archives is to reply directly to the sender. Items in the archives are no longer available on the current mail server so you cannot reply directly to the thread the way you do to a current message. The only way that you could send your reply to the list would be to copy and pass the original message into a new email which you could send to the list with your reply.
