Too, how do I get back to those archived emails? There are shortcuts but I'm showing you how to get there from the RootsWeb home page at http://www.rootsweb.com/ At the top of that page click on "Mailing Lists" Next it will ask you to find a mailing list - type in "Autauga County, Ala." Click on the top listing - "Autaug" The next page will tell how to subscribe and unsubscribe as well as search or browse the archives. Choose either. With "search" you can specify a name or keyword. With "browse" you can select a month and year and look at all the emails for that time period. To be sure you have found all the postings for the name or subject you are looking for you'll need to use "browse" since often the "subject" line of the email does not pertain to the query or information posted, as in the case with your question. Always check the subject line to be sure it reflects the content of your posting. This feature is probably one of the most overlooked one for research as a wealth of info can be found dating back to June 1988 for Autauga Co. Hope you find lots of info.
