Autauga Genealogical Society Date: Sunday, March 18 Time: 2 p.m. Location: Chapman Hall, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, downtown Prattville Program: "The American Revolutionary War Soldier" The speaker is Larry Cornwell, President of the Son's of the American Revolution, Alabama Society. He will present the program dressed in a Revolutionary War uniform. He is a retired Air Force Colonel from Montgomery who served as the State SAR Society genealogist and senior vice-president before assuming the position of state president. He is also active in the SAR at the national level. He presented our January program on researching the American Revolutionary War ancestor. After the program a brief meeting will be held to discuss the possibility of a new chapter of the SAR in Prattville. There are currently 15 chapters in Alabama - the SAR has been active in Alabama for 118 years. Fifteen members are needed for the charter. Chapters in Monroeville and Troy are currently being organized. Guests are always welcome to attend the meetings.
