Thanks to all on the lists who helped me when I needed the locations to Towns and Counties. Thank you all who have emailed me on and off line. It never fails when I ask for one name, it opens up doors to other names and making new friends. These List makes friends out of strangers. Some times these Lists make cousins out of strangers. This is what the Lists are all about us helping one another. I'm in Georgia, if I can be of any help to anyone, please let me know. You all have certainly helped me and been there when I have needed you. I have taken pictures in my area of homes other people ancestors lived in and pictures of graves with names and dates in my area. And others have done this for me. Once I had a friend on one of the Lists who was a Waldrop ,( my maiden name) in Mississippi and he said he had passed a marker on a highway with the name Waldrop on it. He said he would take a picture of it for me I I would like for him to. I told him I would love to have it. I received the picture and for years it didn't meant anything to me. But a couple of years ago I found out what my gr gr grandpapa's name was, and he was listed on the marker. Rev. G. B. Waldrop was one of the Ministers mention on the marker in Pontotoc , Mississippi. If this friend on the list had not taken the time to stop and send me this picture I would not have headed in that direction of Mississippi.( I am so glad I kept the picture in my file.)
