I have her being born in Nelson co., Ky. Her father and mother may have been cousins, but I do not about her marriages. She is said to have died in 1823 but no one knows where/? She had a cousin Elizabeth Heady born in 1808 in Indiana. I have found this name spelledso many different ways. When I present my I D I spell my name and invariably I am asked how to spell my name. Headly and Headley are two of 17 variant spellings. The name was spelled different at different times. Starting with My GG grandfather born in 1818 the headys were able to read and write. I do not think his father could read or write but i am uncertain of that. If this fits let meknow if you need more info. In the 19th century Heddy was the preferred spelling until afterthe Civil War Headdy was also a variant used during the same period. On one census in 1870 the name is spelled 4 different ways in one county.
