Surnames: moore sims norris mcconnell robbins lowery Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabama.counties.autauga/12747/mb.ashx Message Board Post: my dad is calvin dayton norris, born in hannibal, mo. to addie mae moore sims, and elmer dayton norris. addie was born 2-21-1892 in hannibal (died 12-28-1968 in phoenix) to george wesley moore and mintie valetta lowery. i do not have dates or places, and the names came from her bible, so i need any information, family stories &/or photos anyone can share with me on any of these people. addie married luther sims, born 10-6-1873-died 1929 (probably in hannibal), and had 7-8 kids by him. at least 2 died in infancy. all of her children were born in hannibal. according to her bible, her dad was george wesley moore jr, and her gr. grandfather was george chauncy moore, married to sarah matilda purse. addie's mother, mintie valetta lowery, was henery oliver lowery and mary francis (?) lowery's, dgt. addie married elmer norris around 1930. he was, also, from hannibal, so i believe they were married in that area. they devorced when my dad was quite young. we have a description of him and health records on him from his military records, but that is all. we don't even know if elmer's family was aware he had a son. elmer was george washinton norris and alice robbin's son, 1 of 12 kids. i would like to find any information on george norris' mother, ruth a. rebo(?)t from ohio. she may have been born around 1830, and died soon after he was born (around 1850-55, in ohio). her husband was joseph norris, his dad was joshua (josua)norris. they, and their spouses, and joseph's sister, rebecca, are found in the ohio 1850 census, in case someone needs to know. i, also, would like info on kate (catherine) mcconnell robbins, alice's mother, from pa, born about 1832, and alice's paternal grandparents, lucy robbins, b. abt 1795 in maine, as well as, lucy's husband, name(?) born! in ohio. their little family can be found in 1860 in the pike, il census. i appreciate any information on any of these folks. thank you, becky
