My John N. Vinzant (born about 1776 in GA) arrived in old Washington Co., MS Territory (now AL) in 1802. He moved to Simpson Co., MS in time to be on that county's 1830 census then into next door Smith Co., MS in 1833 when it opened to non-Indian settlement.
