The mysteries of cyberspace?? We haven't been able to accomplish much on this line as of yet. We find George Patterson CRUIKSHANK b. ca 1796 in Scotland (we think). He was married to Lovedy Campbell McNEIL ca 1823. These dates and Scotland location come from other family searchers with research data from older relatives. At this time I have seen no documentation. Geoge P. was murdered on March 2, 1830 in Autauga County, AL. This is documented in the book "Autauga County the First 100 Years 1818-1918". Lovedy was left a young widow with 3 children and another on the way. Their children were: Ann Elizabeth Campbell b. 12-29-1824, Marcus Henderson b. 9-5-1826, Walter Cyrus b. ca 1828, Elizabeth George b. 10-3-1830. I am wondering about the Scotland origin because in the 1860 census of Talladega County, AL I found in the household of Marcus Henderson, a male CRUIKSHANK whose first name I think to be Gordon, no age, but showing to have been born in Germany. This was about the time we think Walter Cyrus died, so I am wondering if it is a relative visiting in the household. Would love to hear about your line, maybe we connect!
