First marriage: Thomas Jefferson Taylor, Second marriage: Reuben Joshua Bishop. Also did Reuben Joshua survive Emma ? The following information indicates that he did, but one researcher says that she was the survivor. The Autauga Co. Cemetery listings say that Emma L. Bates Taylor Bishop {d. 1924} is buried in the Harmony Cemetery and that Reuben Joshua Bishop {d. 1928} is buried in the Bishop Cemetery with his parents, Edmond Bishop and Mary Wiggins Bishop. If the flood of 1886 wiped out the graves of the older Bishops, then how can Reuben Joshua be buried there in 1928? Is there another Bishop Cemetery? I would welcome more information about the flood. A kind friend has furnished a newspaper account of the marker that was placed in Milton, Ala.in May of 1982 concerning these older Bishops. Is there more infromation available about the flood?
