Let me know if you think there is a connection: John Henry Golson (born October 22, 1864 in Autauga Co - died February 1950) married on February 26, 1889 to Kittie Rawlinson (born May 10, 1871 in Autauga Co). They had 15 children. One was my grandmother - Rebecca Golson (born March 01, 1912 - died this year in Prattville, Al). She lived in Booth, Alabama (Autgauga Co); married to Carter Herbert Mills (born March 09, 1905 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama - died May 1972 in Booth,Alabama.) My grandmother - Rebecca had a sister name Mattie. The only other info that I have on my grandmother's side (Rebecca Golson) is that her mother's parents were John Lewis Rawlinson & Paralie Deramus. My e-mail is : [email protected] Thanks, Al Thorn

Are you talking about the John Rawlinson born in St. Paul's Parrish, Kent County, Md., who married Avis? (I wish I knew Avis' maiden name.) I was told his father was also a John, born in 1680, but there is no actual proof of this though. Are you aquainted with Perry Rawlinson? He is from east Texas and is also descended from Nathanial Rawlinson. Before I forget it, do you know what Nathanial's first wife's name was? I know about Elizabeth Fralic, his second wife, but not his first wife. Anyway, Perry Rawlinson in fact has a great Rawlinson website with a lot of great info. Are you familiar with it? He in fact recently came to Autauga County, Alabama and met some Rawlinsons here. He was also looking for the graves of William Rawlinson (Nathanial's father) and Lewis Rawlinson(Nathanial's brother). My wife is descended from Lewis. Anyway, we could not find their graves. No one knows where they are that we know of. We did find John Lewis Rawlinson's(my wife's g-g-grandfather) grave, and I was told where another of William's son's, Asa, was buried, whish is supposedly at Ebenezer Bible Church, Elmore Co., Ala.. Anyway, in case you aren't familiar with Perry Rawlinson, here is his e-mail address: <[email protected]! in.rr.com>. Take care, David Middleton Edelen II

I know her ancestor was William Langston Taylor who would have been a generational peer of my gggrandfather, James A. Taylor born in Georgia in 1816. His four known brothers were Sanford, 1811 GA, Armstead 1815 GA, Edward 1817 AL, George Franklin "Frank" 1820 AL. Two other possible brothers were Elijah 1809 GA and William 1823 AL. They were all married in Monroe County, Alabama. A possible father was a George Taylor for whom Sanford and Elijah were required to post bond to administer his estate in Orphan's Court in Monroe County, AL in Feb 1837. Possibly this George was a another brother to the father of William Langston Taylor of Autauga County. Do you know who his parents were or can you shed some further light on this? Thanks, Charles

OATES., was the daughter of William Dudley SCOTT & Catherine Sarah MILES SCOTT........as yet, there is no documented proof whether Stephen Lafayette SCOTT, was the son of William L. SCOTT and Litty MILES SCOTT....or whether he was the son of William Dudley SCOTT and Catherine Sarah MILES SCOTT, (my great grandparents)........in her lifetime, I heard my mother speak fondly of her "Uncle Fate SCOTT," and my 85 year old sister remembers visiting him when she was small....Fate & Ellen SCOTT, had a daugher Ivy SCOTT, m. Millard SMITHERMAN, who was my mother's age, and our family knew her as mother's first cousin.....Ivy SCOTT had two sisters....one named Alma SCOTT, and one named Daisy SCOTT.......my mother's name was Alma Daisy SCOTT, m. William Thomas WATSON........For those reasons, I lean toward Stephen Lafayette SCOTT, being the son of William Dudley SCOTT, but like I said before there is no proof yet.
