    3. I sent Rosemary a text to inquire. She is sick with the flu. She was waiting onthe Exec committee to approve a Dropbox account where we can put the newsletters and that approval has been given. For security reasons we will not put it on the website since it is public facing and we don’t have the members only area established. When she has it uploaded to drop box she can send out the link via this email distro as well as on FB. I will have Betty Zeitz send it out to the Division distribution lists Suzanna Rawlins AL Division President > On Jan 31, 2019, at 11:19 AM, ltlowery9050--- via ALAUDC <alaudc@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > What is the status of The Ties That Bind? 1. [ALAUDC] 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF UDC - PRESIDENT GENERAL'S MESSAGE
    2. Patricia S. Godwin
    3. Ladies, In reading the President's Message I am compelled to make this remark: In the third paragraph, first sentence, Pres. Crutcher writes, "I am excited about the beginning of our celebration of 125 years of honoring THE CONFEDERATE ANCESTORS." Capitalization is MY emphasis of this mis-use of words. We must ALWAYS say we are "honoring OUR CONFEDERATE ANCESTORS"! Words can be very generic or they can be passionate. This was a very generic sentence describing the work of our organization of which she did not fail to use the word "our" in referring to the UDC! The UDC exists ONLY BECAUSE OF OUR ANCESTORS and their valiant struggle to maintain the Constitution of which Lincoln destroyed in 1861! This really surprised me about Nelma.maybe it was just an oversight.but a reporter who might read this message might have a slanted adverse deduction. Just my observation.
