My husband suggested we do this after the Charlottesville incident. Buy private land and make parks out of them with unwanted monuments, markers and tablets. I thought it was ludicrous then, now I'm certain this is an avenue we need to pursue NOW before it's to late. I was unaware about the FL Division monument being moved to Alabama. Maybe we could bring some unwanted monuments to Confederate Memorial Park, where they will be kept up and secured within the park, just an idea. Ladies, Please click on the link below and read.like I said in my earlier post, we'd better get ready to provide places for our monuments because the commies will not rest until they have destroyed them all! This is what happened in Dallas, TX yesterday! When "those people" will be more incensed over someone in their youth wearing "black face" than the BLATANT MURDER OF FULL TERM BABIES.we are experiencing HELL ON EARTH! Obviously, Virginia is a state that is totally lost! Virginia is the mother of 8 U.S. Presidents.I know they are all spinning in their graves! During the State of the Union Address, Tues night, the conduct of Nancy Pelosi and those "women in white" make me ashamed of my gender! I just don't believe God is going to put up with this madness much longer! Butch & I went to Point Clear, Ala last Saturday for the re-dedication of a Confederate Monument that was RE-LOCATED to Point Clear Alabama from West Palm Beach Florida where the female mayor deemed the monument as offensive & racist and that it MUST GO! It was erected in 1941 by the United Daughters of the Confederacy with PRIVATE FUNDS, of course, and was in a Confederate Cemetery standing over the graves of 21 Confederate Soldiers! So the UDC & the SCV there in West Palm Beach got with the SCV Blakeley Camp in Foley, Alabama and the monument was moved up here! It seems the president of the UDC chapter in West Palm Beach, Mary Alice Wratislaw, was born & raised in Bay Minette, AL she said she was given X number of days to get that monument moved or it was going to be stored in a warehouse until she had somewhere to put it or the City of West Palm Beach would have it destroyed! She said she searched all over Florida for a place to re-locate the monument but to no avail. So she turned to home ALABAMA! A man volunteered to move the monument up here for $2000. Through donations this money raised. Tommy Rhodes, Blakeley Camp commander made the arrangements & prepared the foundation, etc. for the monument to come to its new home. All done once again with PRIVATE DONATIONS! ONLY civil rights monuments are created, maintained & protected with TAXDOLLARS!!! Several SCV & UDC members from Florida came to the re-dedication we enjoyed an outstanding program of presenters from SCV, MOSB, and UDC giving the history of the monument and the history of the communist action against the monument in West Palm Beach. We enjoyed a beautiful rendition of an instrumental combination of Dixie and Amazing Grace on a CD which I have never heard before. I understand that was recorded by the Rebelaires . Then a lady from the West Palm Beach UDC chapter performed her original composition of a song that told the story of the monument & its final resting place, Alabama she wrote the lyrics and the melody she sang & played the guitar which was absolutely lovely! Mary Alice Wratislaw conducted the Roll Call of Honor announcing the 21 names of the 21 soldiers honored who still remained buried in West Palm Beach with no monument honoring their service! Then the Blakely Camp members conducted the unveiling of the monument; the Laying of the Wreath by the West Palm Beach UDC ladies; the cannon and rifle salutes presented by the Blakeley Honor Guard. We ended the program with everyone singing a slow version of Dixie. After the program, at 6PM many of us went to the Gift Horse Café for supper there Tommy announced that about 132 people were in attendance. That is a fair turn-out to an event that should have had hundreds. The Ala Div. SCV didnt have any Div. Officers there, nor did the Ala Div. UDC, but Barbara McCammish of the Charles Stuart UDC Chapter represented Ala Div UDC & read a letter from Ala Div. Pres. Suzanna Rawlins, which her remarks were most appropriate. God provided us with a wonderful day of very pleasant weather, and His presence at this most inspirational and momentous occasion. Wed better get used to it more monuments are going to be moved and wed better be ready to provide a place for them or the commies in charge will destroy them! Were living in Mao Se Tung-USA!
