FYI... When I said mail all marker orders to Susan I should have said they must be ordered through Susan and not directly from the new vendor. Please still have the Chapter officer sign and send to me to sign (and for my records) and I will forward them immediately to Susan. I received a marker order yesterday and it is being mailed to Susan today. I sent this out earlier on this listing and our facebook page, but apparently someone didn’t see it so I am emailing again. All the updated grave marker forms are now available on General’s website at hqudc.org. There are two new sizes for member markers along with the original 4” and 7” options. The real daughter member, and non-UDC member wife and daughter markers, are also still available. Please order iron crosses directly through the Herndon Company as noted on the Iron Crosses order form. Send ALL orders and checks for grave markers to the General Chair, Susan Dooley. Her address is on the markers order form. I wanted to put all the forms on our Division page but I was told General’s forms will not be put on there. So, go to hqudc.org and log in to the members’ section, then go to forms and scroll down to grave markers. P.P.S. I put in prize $ for the Chapter ordering the most iron crosses and the Chapter ordering the most member or non-member markers. You can order your own as well, as long as you can get the cemetery authorization form signed. I am ordering mine for my Christmas present! :) Thank you ladies for honoring our members and our ancestors!!! Lori Adams Grave Markers Chair

Good evening ladies. For those who for whatever reason, didn’t attend Confederate Memorial Day at the capitol, and who ordered shirts by the April deadline, I am in the process of delivering them to Chapter meetings and mailing them. However, I am paying postage out of pocket for those I have to mail, so please give me a few weeks to get them out. Sharon Sanders and I want to thank everyone who ordered a shirt! In UDC love, Lori Adams

the song Alabama by Julia Tutwiler almost sings itself. I think if you listen to it on you tube, you'll do okay. A lesson in the wording is another learning experience in itself as the language is old fashioned to youngsters of today. Good luck. Today at 3:30 pm at Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga, Ga. Governor Kemp signed in law Senate Bill 77 that strengthens monument protection laws in State code 50-3-1.
