In 1873 my great grandfather, Joseph Henry Livingston took his three oldest children, Lawrence, age 18 (my grandfather); L's, age 16 and Laura age 14 to Mobile to book passage via boat to Galveston. From Galveston the three took a train to Falls County, TX. Joseph Henry Livingston then traveled by land to meet his children in Falls Co., Texas where his deceased wife's sister lived. She was Elizabeth Gill Daffin. There the Livingston family met and Joseph Henry Livingston married again and died. Would like to know more about how he traveled by land.
