Hello everyone, My grandfather was born in Citronelle Al and my grandmother in Mobile, Al. Both ended up, at one point, in Leakesville, Ms before moving on elsewhere. I read in an earlier post that the courthouse didn't burn down in Mobile. I would like to try to find any records relating to my family, especially marriage and death. Do you have to know exact dates or is there some type of surname index? Are the records soundexed? Are these records available at the Nat'l Archives, or just locally? My grandfather was Charlie Boyd LOTT b.10-Dec-189? (WW1 registration says "93", other papers said "98") d, 2-Aug-1936 m. Rhoda BRANNON Any help would be appreciated.
