Zula is supposed to be his mothers first name, but that could be short for any number of names, or it might be her full first name. It will help alot if I can ever get a response from the gov't about his military papers. My grandmother is supposed to be on the 1900 Mobile census, as a child. She was listed with her father, William BRANNON, mother Edna (KORMAN) BRANNON, and brother Seymore. But the birth year for Rhoda was different from the info we had, so I wasn't going to consider it gospel until I have the paperwork to verify it. Still waiting on gov't pension info.
