Have 1700's Mobile area families of LIGHTFOOT, LOTT, PIERCE, MYRICK that I am searching for. If you have any families with these surnames would you please contact me. Also, possibilities of other ancestral surnames in that area during 1700's and 1800's would be DICKSON/DIXON/DICKERSON, STUCKEY, GRANTHAM, EARLE, DORSEY, HARRINGTON/HERRINGTON, WILLIAMS, JONES. Looking, especially, for information on the following individuals: Martha Jane Dorsey LIGHTFOOT, born: before 1775, dau. of Phillip LIGHTFOOT, married Absalom LOTT in 1781, (Need more info on her and who her mother was.....may have been named Susanna, Mary or Martha. Martha Jane may have had a sister named Margaret Susanna LIGHTFOOT who married in 1781, also, to a Henry COOK, I think, who was born in MA.) Also, looking to confirm the descent of Martha Jane Dorsey LIGHTFOOT and Phillip LIGHTFOOT from the line of Elizabeth PHILLIPS and her husband, John LIGHTFOOT and his father, Reverend Richard LIGHTFOOT of England in 1600's and wife, Jane JONES. The daughter of Martha Jane Dorsey LIGHTFOOT and Absalom LOTT was Frances Lucretia LOTT, born abt. 1800 in AL married William HATTEN. Their son, Lawrence HATTEN, (wife, Frances Elizabeth GRISHAM, dau. of Elizabeth Ann FORD and Jehu GRISHAM,) was in the Confederate Army and captured at Battle of Nashville, after fighting in Battle of Franklin, TN, and taken to Union POW camp, Camp Chase, OHIO, where he died. Their son, Cicero HATTEN, was my great grandfather. Elizabeth PIERCE, born: abt. 1780-1790 in SC, married William MYRICK, sons were named Aquilla, born abt. 1814 in GA, Henry, born abt. 1818 in AL, Jeremiah, born abt. 1819 in AL and William H. MYRICK, born abt. 1827 in MS. (Need information on parents or siblings of Elizabeth PIERCE. SLAUGHTER, born: 1844, AL, he joined Confederate Army at age 16. Sometime after he returned from the war they lived in Winn Parish, Louisiana......may have lived there prior to the war as I believe that he joined the Army in Winnsboro in Winn Parish, LA. (Searching for the family of Claranda 'Clara' WILLIAMS . Possibility that her family was part Indian and part French, my grandfather showed my mother picture of grandparents who looked full blood Indian ancestry but no other information.) Della JONES, probably born abt. 1860-1870, who married Cicero HATTEN in Louisiana (Searching for the family of Della JONES. Her brother was a judge in New Orleans.) Rebeccah Jane DICKSON/DIXON/DICKERSON, born: abt. 1828, who married Isom/Isham Daniel HARRINGTON/HERRINGTON. Isom fought in the Civil War in the Confederate Army and was captured and sent to Camp Morton in Indiana in 1864 and was home in 1866, (Searching for the family of Rebeccah.) Harriet STUCKEY married Enoch HERRINGTON, born abt. 1780 in NC. (Looking for the family of Harriet STUCKEY.) Rachal Moranda COLEMAN, married Wesley BRIGHT, 1st husband, and then married my great grandfather, Spencer B. PARKER. in mid-late 1800's. I don't know if COLEMAN was a maiden, adopted or married name. My understanding is that her biological father's name was LOUIS/LEWIS and her mother was Carrie KNIGHT. Spencer B. PARKER was the son of Sarah 'Sally' JENNINGS (desc. from John JENNINGS and John PAYNE's dau. Margaret of Old Rappahannock, Va from England in mid-1600's.) and Jeremiah 'Jerry' PARKER, (desc. from Elizabeth BARHAM and Drury PARKER of VA and MD, families from England in 1600's) Sarah JENNINGS mother was Kitty EARLE and father was Bailey/Baley JENNINGS. Kitty EARLE married Bailey/Baley JENNINGS abt. 1795-1800 in Christian County, KY (searching for her family.) Would appreciate any information anyone might have. In advance, I thank you. Sincerely, Bellinda Myrick
