Hi Patti This is not directly related to your query, and I don't know if you've seen this, but I saw "Dismukes" on the list of people at the Ft. Mims, AL massacre. I couldn't tell from the info given if all of the family was killed or what. Since you are a descendant, obviously, someone survived, or you're from a different branch. Just wanted to let you know that there were Dismukes in that area, in the hopes that you might find more around there too. Also, how is that name pronounced??
