Kathryn, thanks for the posting. I didn't see anyone I know, but the Hy Cardwell could be related to "my" Cardwells. I am waiting now for pension info on Wade Hampton Cardwell who was in the 12th AL Co D Infantry (Rode's battalion I believe) If my vote counts for anything, I love to see info of any length posted to the list. I have found a number of good clues from postings that were just random info someone else found and passed on. Thanks again. Emma in NM
