    3. Hi Bonnie, I've been noticing your posts about the McVOY family since I subbed to this list a couple of months ago. I thought you might be interested in the following I saw tonight as I was looking at a microfilm that I borrowed via Interlibrary Loan (my library obtained it from Samford University Library in Birmingham, AL). I was looking up something on my George DAVIS in 1824 and this popped out at me: >>>Mobile Commercial Register, Friday Morning, October 22, 1824. Page 1, >>>Vol. III, No. 79. Notice. Will be sold, on the premises, on Friday, the 19th day of November, 1824, at 12 o'clock, on a credit of 12 months, for an approved negotiable Note, together with a Mortgage on the premises, three LOTS of GROUND being in the City of Mobile, bounded south by Dauphin Street, east by Claiborne street, north by the lands of John Moon. Also, all the right, title and interest of A. Robeshow, deceased, to three other lots adjoining the above, and bounded west by Hamilton street, south by Dauphin street, north by the lands of George Getz, and east by the aforementioned three (lots?), each containing fifty-five feet front, and running back 110 feet--and all sold under an order of the Honorable the county Court, as the property of A. Robeshow, deceased, to pay his debts. They lived in Tuscaloosa for a few years before moving to Mobile in late 1823 or early 1824.
