I thought of one more thing to tell you all. Since this list's reply setting is set to "reply-to-list", you might consider adding your own email address to your signature as a "clickable link." MOST email software will recognize this type of link. What you do is type your email address preceded by "mailto:" There can be NO space between the colon and your email address. For example, I'll do this with my email address like this... mailto:[email protected] If you see the line above colored in blue and underlined, then you should be able to just click on it with your mouse cursor and a new email message window addressed to me should pop up. Try it. (You don't have to send the email, though -- this is just an exercise!) If it didn't work or you don't see that line colored in blue and underlined then, I guess you're email software doesn't get it. It will be an option for most of you, though, to send private replies when you need to. Plus, even if your email software won't recognize that type of link, others' will, so you could still include it in *your* message (at the bottom under your signature) so others could use it to send messages to you. Remember, though! If you are sending genealogical information, I would prefer that you send it through the list. If you are just thanking someone or telling them that you will get something for them later, etc., then send it privately. Use your judgement. 8-) -- Regards, Kevin Sellew in Mobile, Alabama E-Mailto:[email protected] Listowner of MOBILE BAY AREA ROOTS [AL-MOBILEBAY]
