Earlene, You're right, I could find no connection to Charles Hartley Smith. I probably should add YET to that statement, because my Smiths are definitely a "work in progress". There is a Julia T. (Tarver) Smith buried in the Old Whistler Cemetery who is also related, but by the Tarver, not the Smith. She was married to a John Smith and I haven't a clue on him.
