    3. That was an interesting list of Capt. Gage's men, but I don't see the name of John Bolman. I have a paper from the Adjutant General's Office of the War Department dated Oct 3, 1908 to one of my aunt's who had written regarding Bolman's records. The paper states "The records show that one John Bolman was mustered into service October 10, 1861, at Mobile, Ala as 3rd sergeant in Captain Gage's Company, Alabama Artillery, subsequently Company E, 2d Battalion, Alabama light Artillery, Confederate States Army, to serve 12 months and that his age was stated as 43 years." There was only one John Bolman in Mobile at that time; we know he served in the Civil War, and the age is right. Cynthia
