I have a Davis ancestor, but have never researched the line because of the many Davis families in South Alabama. However, I see that there are several Davis researchers using this site. My g-g-grandmother, Elizabeth Davis married Henry Hunter in Camden, SC in 1792. She was b. 1767, and d. 1844 in Dallas Co. She and Henry are buried in the Old Beulah Cemetery in Conecuh. They had children Charles Davis Hunter, John Starke Hunter, Henry Lawrence Hunter (father of Ransom D. Hunter, d. Mobile) and Elizabeth Hunter, who m. 1st Samuel W. Oliver in Conecuh and 2nd Alphonso M. Sprague in Dallas. The Spragues moved to Mobile, where all children by both marriages were married. Does Elizabeth Davis Hunter fit into anyone's Davis line?
