This was all very interesting to me, since my husband's uncle was named Mark Dodds Therrell. I asked someone once where the 'Dodds' came from, and they told me that Mark Dodds was a very well-known and respected member of the Whistler community. Several families named children after him. The Therrells were long-time residents of Whistler. I made a xerox copy, years and years ago, of the WHISTLER TOWN DIRECTORY 1876. Listed here was Jaques Baumhauer, baker, Jolly & Peterson, residence on se corner of Culvert and Gould. I had also copied inscriptions from tombstones in the Whistler Cemetery and find Mark L Dodds, 1852 - 1950, and his wife, Margaret A Dodds, 1856 - 1924. Bronya, this must be your Mark Dodds and his wife, Maggie Myers Dodds. There is a George Henry Baumhauer (an infant) who was born 29 Dec 1949 and died 12 Feb 1950, and is buried in the George H. Therrell plot in the Whistler Cemetery. Does anyone know the connection between the Baumhauers and Therrells? Earlene Lyle
