I find that a James M. Flinn was an Acting Gunner on the CSS Morgan from 1861 - 1863. A sister Martha Ann T. Flinn married Lemuel Augustus Rawls in Monroe Co 10 Oct 1837. The Southern Argus reported "Johnn Flyn attempted to cut his wife's throat in Mobile the other day" (Issue 9-20-1872). ? Well, I will take what I can get. 1816 Census of Monroe Co. Al. has 2 males under 21, 1 over 21: 1 female under 21. This is my John M. Flinn. Who is the other male under 21. My Martha Ann T. Flinn was not born until 1817. Who is the female?
