Anita, Yes, the genealogy branch of the Mobile Public Library has all the city directories, going back, I seem to recall, into the late 1830's or so. Someone else on the list may be able to supply the exact range of dates, but you'll find a complete set there extending back into the time period that you are interested in. --Mark
