Hello All, My name is Jennifer Lartigue. I am trying to find some information on the Lartigue Family of Mobile. the information I have is not much but maybe it can get me started. My husband is Randy Lartigue. His parents, Paul James Lartigue, Sr. who passed away @1959 and Emeline Lartigue. They had four children: Paul James, Jr., Larry Glenn, JoAnn and Randall Brice. Paul Sr.'s parents were Robert A. Lartigue Sr. and Kitty (?) Lartigue. They are both buried in Pinecrest Cemetery I believe. They owned the land where Brookley Air Force Base was built. From what I understand, The Federal Government somewhat forced Kitty to sell them the land for what it was assessed for (for little of nothing). At the end of the war instead of letting the family but back the property it was then donated to the City of Mobile. I have heard stories that the fireplace that was in Kitty's house was used in the Officer's Club. I believe that Paul, Sr. was born in Mobile. I am not sure of his parents names. Kitty, we think was born in France. I believe her maiden name was Deveaux. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
