    1. [AL-MOBILEBAY] Research help request from Canada

    3. Hello, My name is James Milks, and I am a hockey historian from Canada. I have joined this mailing list because I would like some help in locating relatives of a former professional hockey player named Art Coulter, who died in a Mobile nursing home on October 14, 2000. Originally, I had hoped to contact nursing homes in and around Mobile until I realized just how many there are. Also, the Mobile Register newspaper has no online resources for me to look up an obituary (assuming there is one) and try to derive next-of-kin from that, so I am really not sure how to proceed. That is why I have contacted you! I am hoping that someone may be able to consult copies of the local papers in the archives of the library or some other source and try to find the names of any children he may have had. Truth be told, I am actually looking for his brother, Thomas Coulter, who was still alive when Art died, and may very well still be. He may also be living in the Mobile area and in a nursing home. I am using Art's death to try to find Thomas, as Art is easier to track because he is a Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee, while Thomas only played a few games with the Chicago BlackHawks (but was also a member of the Canadian Olympic Team in 1936 in 400 metre hurdles). I am hopeful that Art's children will know where "Uncle Thomas" is. Any information or help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, James Milks LostHockey.com http://www.losthockey.com Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (613) 560-9855
