I have exhausted the sacremental records from New Orleans and am told that the marriage record I am seeking may very well be in Mobile. Searching for the marriage of Jean-Baptiste Rivard/Rivarde and Anne Bernard (abt 1755). Can you tell me where the sacremental records or notarial records are housed and is there a website for a contact person? Mary Ann, if you can't find them in Mobile or you want to do more checking in N.O., go to http://www.neworleansgenealogy.com and click on resources...... try the notary archives and also the library's site and also the notre dame archives. The priests wrote letters to each other and I've found a few names mentioned when I did a search there.
