I am looking for info on the Lacoste of Mobile and Baldwin Counties. My great grandfather was John Lester Lacoste who married Agnes Towle daughter of professor Amos Towle. John's father was Fernando Lacoste. I cannot seem to relate him to the other Lacoste in the area. The children of Augustine Lacoste and Elizabeth Hartley are listed in orphan's court procedings in Baldwin County in the 1840's when an E. Bailey and husband John Bailey gain custody. Since according to his will, Augustine is dead, I assume E. Bailey is either thier mother, remarried, or an older sister. They all seem to disappear until they start showing up in Mobile in the 1860's. Can anyone out there put me on thier trail? Charlene Moore
