    3. Hi, I am searching for any information regarding the names of GAULTRE, MOSEL, and COTTER I know that Marie Louise Elizabeth GAULTRE COTTER married Pierre MOSEL and they lived in, or near Mobile, Al where they became the parents of Claude MOSEL, born October 20, 1727, Bernard MOSEL, born September 23, 1730, Jeane Pierre MOSEL, born April 25, 1733 and Marie Elizabeth MOSEL, born August 11, 1739. The mother, Marie Louise Elizabeth died in their "habitation on the Tombigbee River in Louisiana" November 15, 1742, and the father, Pierre MOSEL died during a massacre of a group of settlers by the Choctaw Indians on October 23, 1747. I would like to find out more of their children who were related to a family named Gaultry/Gaultree (also other spelling variations) known to be living in New Jersey during the 1700s. I also am interested in knowing more of the region and history of Mobile during these early days of settlement, and would appreciate any leads to websites and other information sources. Thankyou very much. Sheila Gaultry Bates
