    2. Mary. You have brought to mind memories of my child. Birdville. We moved to Titmouse and later on Ibis Drive not long after I was was born in 1947. My parents were living in a one apartment on Selma St. when I was born.(This is now in a fashionable historic district) Finding a house in Mobile was next to impossible . Birdville is the common named for is really Thomas James Place. All the streets are named for birds hence Birdville. Someone has convinced the News Media that Every thing from Virginia Street south to Brookley is this Maysville community. Wrong!!!!. Maysville is a small subdivision behind Ladd Stadium and surrounds Williamson Highschool. Now let me get off my soap box and wish everyone a Happy New Year!
