Susie, did I ever get around to sending you a 'thank you' for the copy of the famous map? My husband & I have both been fighting the crud that has been going around and trying to survive our family Christmas which we had to have two days early. Since then we have been spending more time in bed than up and sleeping most of that time---my mind is just in a fog. Of all times to get sick when the doctors' offices aren't open. I really enjoyed studying the map. Back when Toulminville and Crichton were out in the country and Spring Hill WAY out. That marsh area you mentioned was indeed just bare of being built up. It gave me a good chance for some day dreaming. You can plainly see the Birdville subdivision down toward the bottom. This pattern of circular streets was so new to folks in this area and really caused a lot of comment. Susie, I am very interested in receiving a copy of the Old Mobile Map. I lived across "Fulton Road" from Maryville on Eslava Lane and then on WIllow Lane. I sure do remember "Birdville". My wife walked to Brookley every moring--to work. Jim Stephenson
