Didn't someone need to look at an old Mobile Map? I have one. It is older than me... but we won't go into details about that part. There is Brookley Field on it. The Fair Grounds right beside it. All streets. City block map type. Detailed pretty good. There is NO INTERSTATE on this map! And West Mobile looks so strange! No mall or anything. Just little X's for "swamp". But the map is old. Probably before 1950. If someone was looking for something in particular, I could scan that section tomorrow. Susie
Susie, how old are you? The fifties aren't all that long ago. Let's see--when did Brookley open? Was it late thirties or early forties? Who can remember?
