    2. Ray Revette
    3. My family was in Perry Co., MS in 1900 and was from a 1/2 Choctaw Indian grandmother. On several occasions in the early 1900s Choctaw Indians (?) in horse drawn buggies came through The Flats at Buck Creek with the announcement that Indians were about to be enriched by the Federal Government. They pleaded with every one with Indian Blood to sign on the papers they carried with them so they could taking the names back to the Government. These Indians did this for only $2.50 a signature. This was a scam and the 'Indians' were the cheats. I searched for these named Indians documents and could get no more than a chuckle from all sources of possible help. If anyone knows more than this I wish to know also. TIA .... 1. [AL-MOBILEBAY-L] Davis/Bradley/Tensaw, Al
    2. Steve, Do you have information on John B. Davis, Ida B. Davis, Leonard Davis, J. T. Bradley and T. H. Boyles? They were involved in a probate case in 1911. John B. Davis was 44 and lived in Tensaw. I am trying to find relatives for Mary Ann Davis born about 1831 and George S. Bradley born about 1824. They were married in Monroe County in 1848. I am a descendant of their son Joseph Bradley born about 1854. Joseph settled in Pensacola, Fl. and died in 1916. I would like to know if the J. T. Bradley listed above could be my Joseph Bradley. Do you live near Tensaw? Thanks for your help. Gail [email protected]

    3. I also found the description of old St. Stephens very fascinating. I recently formed a tenuous connection to the place when I sent away for my great-great-grandfather's land patent for the acreage he purchased from the government in what is now Chickasabogue, I gather, in the 1840's. He had to go to the government land office in St. Stephens to apply for the land patent and the name of this locality is all over his documentation. Bronya Feldmann Berkeley, CA
