SHAW was my 3g-Uncle and I would like to find out what unit he was serving with so I can get his service record. I do not know if he was CSA or Union but he was born 1842-1843 and my own last record of him is the 1860 Cherokee Co Al census where he was single and living with his parents, Robert Washington Shaw & Martha Patsey [Ashley]. His great newphew said he died at Chicamauga but another researcher says he died 01 Jan 1863 at Murfreesboro, Tennessee. If you have any information you can share, I would be most grateful! Kathye
