    3. Are you just interested in the twelve-month company or still following it after initial enlistments expired? I have found little in the Mobile Advertiser & Register about the 2nd Alabama Regiment, but saw articles about this company in the Claiborne Southern Champion, February 8 and March 22, 1861. These newspapers are on file at the ADAH in Montgomery. Alan Pitts "The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all his innermost parts." Prov. 20:27 -----Original Message----- From: D. A. I am researching the Claiborne Guards of Monroe Co., Ala. in order to write an essay about this company. I would welcome any suggestions of where to look for information about this small company. Yr.
